ReCourses provides consulting for merger/acquisition work, often combined with valuations. These cover acquiring another firm, being acquired by another firm, or merger with another firm. We'll concentrate on guiding you expertly, surfacing the best solutions, sorting through them with clarity, and then guiding the various related parties to reach consensus.

Do you have a merger opportunity? Acquiring another firm? Being acquired? While many of these result in substantial opportunity for you, there's a significant risk if a) you allow it to distract you from running the existing business or b) you don't rely on experts at this most crucial opportunity. Ask anyone who's acted as their own defense attorney or general contractor and you'll get the idea. This is not the time to assume you know what you are doing.

We can guide you through the process, from start to finish, as we have more than 100 firms. We'll:

  • Evaluate the opportunity.
  • Negotiate on your behalf.
  • Coordinate the efforts of your other advisors, attorney, and tax specialist.
  • Keep you informed as you like.
  • Pace your disclosure appropriately.
  • Arrive at a deal memo that incorporates the consensus we've built.
  • Advise you on what/when to share the news.

Details

Location. Your office or remotely.

Duration. Two to nine months, depending on complexity.

Deliverable. Hours of industry leading advice to maximize opportunity and ensure the appropriate safeguards, culminating in thoroughly explored (but rejected) option or a deal memo, based on what's in your best interest.

Unlimited Remote Implementation. 3 months after deal memo is accepted.

Participation Requirements. Principal/Finance gather materials for 4 hours. Later participation will vary.

Cost. $10,000-20,000 if done remotely (most can be), or $15,000-35,000 if done on-site. Some projects will be estimated higher, but you'll know in advance. Any project that requires an on-site portion will automatically have a higher cost.
